For an audience who are long deprived of movies of Hangover, Delhi Belly sorts , yaru da mahesh is just a starter. Right from the title card, adult jokes are in galore. And mind you they are not limited to dialogues.
The movie is set around the college life of a nonchalant, irresponsible young lad. And obviously, it is filled with a close friend, his girl friend, love life, Industrial visit and many other usual fillers. But everything has been placed to play an entertaining part.
Being irresponsible is the identity of the hero that he forgets to use condom which makes his college sweet heart come back from US to end up in wedding. They live happily ever after until the hero comes to know that he is not but Mahesh is the dad of whom he thought his son. And the second half does the search to find “yaru da mahesh” “Mahesh who are you?”
The movie as a whole is nothing but a short film stretched with eternally boring songs, interestingly placed stand alone performances by Robot Shankar, vadivelu balaji and the likes. In spite of all the glitches, it makes you laugh your heart out as jokes are depicted as it is in reality. After a long time someone has really exploited the talent of Jagan. Finally someone could replace the ubiquitous santhanam after all. His timing and wit are , if I am allowed to use the most popular killer among English adjectives, “Chanceless”.
